Principal's Update

April 24, 2020

Dear Families,

I hope everyone continues to be safe and healthy. As many of you may have heard by now, there will be an opportunity for parents and students to come to school to gather student personal items from cubbies and lockers and turn in school-related items.

Each grade level has a specific day to come to school. Teachers have begun reaching out to families to further provide some time frames for parents and students to come to the school to help ensure social distancing. Please be on the lookout for this teacher contact if you have not already had your phone call. Consider wearing a mask when you come to the school as well.

The scheduled days is as follows:

May 4. Grades K & 4

May 5. Grades 1 & 5

May 6. Grades 2 & 6

May 7. Grades 3 & 7

May 8 Grades PreK & 8

We realize there are families with children in more than one grade, which means you will need to come to school on different days. We truly appreciate your adhering to the district plan as the health of everyone is very important to us all, and are certain you understand this requirement under these circumstances. Thank you in advance!

Some parents have asked if their children are required to come to school to collect their things. The answer is no. Parents may come collect their child's items without the children. This day will also provide the opportunity to turn in textbooks, library books, money owed such as PTO candy sale money, yearbook money, and completed student work packets, etc. Feel free to stay in contact with your child's teacher if you have questions about this day.

Report cards will be distributed on May 22nd as planned from 7:45-10:00.

The second student work packet is currently available online on our school website and Facebook page. You can also find it on the district website. If you want a paper copy of the second packet, Staples will have these available for you to pick up on MONDAY, April 27th. Thank you, Staples!
